He was our smallest baby but he was our biggest fighter. Jake was also the biggest troublemaker. He was always keeping the nurses on their toes. And his brothers would follow his lead. He was the first to pull out his breathing tube. When Jake got switched over to a high-frequency oscillator ventilator, his brothers followed suit.
He also started this whole ball of wax rolling. When the doctor examined Christine she felt Jake's knee and that was the tipping point that resulted in a C-section.
Mommy and Daddy love you Jake.
We will miss you forever.
Goodbye
Oh Mike and Christine, I am so very, very sorry. I am so sad he was with us for such a short time, but I am grateful that he was so deeply loved.
ReplyDeleteMike and Christine, He will always have a place in our hearts, even though we didn't get to meet him. Love you, Aunt Donna
ReplyDeleteMy deepest sympathies, Mike and Christine. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet Jake but I am grateful to you both for sharing his life with me. He will be remembered. Love Jason
ReplyDeleteA POEM FOR JAKE
ReplyDeleteToday at 12:08pm
A part of three that you were , You came to us one day
Now the 2 are left behind , Minus one they say
You were strong enough and fought your best to stay within the 3
God had chosen and said aloud , Jake is coming with me
We love you now as we always will , no matter our great pain
For we all know that one time soon we will all be together again !

Well said, Pops. Jake will always be in my thoughts...rest in peace, little guy.

ReplyDeleteJake, we don’t know why, but for our liking you were in too great a hurry to enter this world and far greater to leave.
ReplyDeleteWe are sorrowful, but if we look to our heart, we shall see that in truth we are weeping for that which has brought us delight.
Although too brief , we thank you for bringing so much delight to all those around you.
